Russell Group: UK’s Horizon Europe deal ‘on the brink’

  

Meanwhile, Universities UK calls on Home Office to tackle research “immigration bureaucracy and visa costs”

The chief executive of the Russell Group of research-intensive UK universities will warn university leaders in Europe this week that the UK and EU are “now teetering on the brink of losing” UK association to the EU’s main R&D funding programme, Horizon Europe.

In his speech at a conference marking the 20th anniversary of the League of European Research Universities, Tim Bradshaw will reiterate the UK’s commitment to Horizon Europe and call on those present to make the case for UK association with their governments and officials in Brussels, the Russell Group said on 16 May.
