PM candidate: “Our companies don’t invest enough in R&D so we’re going to cut taxes”

Rishi Sunak has pledged to cut R&D taxes to boost the economy if he becomes the next UK prime minister.

Speaking at a Conservative Party leadership hustings in Exeter yesterday, Sunak said businesses do not invest enough in the UK because its tax system “is not generous enough”.
