UK’s updated strategy keeps emphasis on R&D but doesn’t mention EU programmes or ODA funding
The UK government has omitted commitments on joining EU R&D programmes, and on funding R&D partnerships with developing countries through the UK’s aid budget, from its updated foreign policy review, published yesterday.
The update of the 2021 review does keep science and technology as a high priority, though, saying the government “will continue to make [science and technology] a priority element of our wider bilateral partnerships”.
