Situation described as a “disaster” as regulatory delays mean private investors will steer clear

There is “no chance” that private investors will get behind another satellite launch from the UK after the first launch was delayed by six months due to regulatory hurdles, MPs have heard.

What was set to be the first satellite launch from the UK, from Spaceport Cornwall, ultimately ended in failure in January as technical issues meant the satellites did not reach orbit.
