‘Returnerships’ launched to get older people back into work

Budget 2023: Apprenticeships for older workers, funding to widen education participation in Northern Ireland announced

The UK government is to launch a suite of apprenticeships designed to help older workers reenter the workforce, the chancellor has announced.

Delivering his 2023 spring budget address on 15 March, Jeremy Hunt said the qualifications—to be known as “returnerships”—will be “more appealing for older workers, focusing on flexibility and previous experience to reduce training length”.
