Former adviser says there are ‘too many restrictions’ in the bill to create the agency
The prime minister’s former chief adviser Dominic Cummings says he is “not confident” that the government’s Advanced Research and Invention Agency will work out as currently envisaged.
Cummings, who was a major proponent of the agency during his time at Number 10, told MPs that the bill to create the agency for high-risk, high-reward research contained “too many restrictions”, such as ministerial power to give directions and appoint non-executive members.
