Amanda Solloway defends ‘open mission’ of Aria funding agency

          

But science minister concedes it is vital Aria has clear research focus at programme level

Science minister Amanda Solloway has defended the planned Advanced Research and Invention Agency’s “open mission” as the bill to create the agency makes its way through parliament.

The minister was responding to the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee’s February report on the £800 million agency for “high-risk, high-reward” research.
