Only nominee is former chair Greg Clark, who stepped down to become levelling-up secretary
The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee will soon have a new chair, with former incumbent Greg Clark looking the most likely to step into the role.
Clark left the post in July when he became levelling-up, housing and communities secretary—a role that new prime minister Liz Truss has since given to Simon Clarke. The Scottish National Party’s Carol Monaghan and the Conservatives’ Aaron Bell have been serving as interim chairs of the committee.
