Subcommittee to look at how well the UK supports Antarctic research

A new parliamentary inquiry will explore the environmental impacts of climate change in Antarctica, and whether the UK government’s support for science in the polar region is sufficient.

Launched by the House of Commons Environmental Audit Sub-Committee on Polar Research on 24 July, the inquiry will consider the most significant climate and environmental changes taking place in the Antarctic, such as sea-level rises, what they mean for the UK and how the government can reduce them.
