Scottish parties promise more R&D investment

Labour and the Alba Party set out their pledges for R&D and higher education

Scottish Labour and the Alba Party have both pledged to boost R&D over the next parliament, as politicians set out their promises to voters ahead of the 6 May Holyrood election.

In its 22 April manifesto, Scottish Labour, led by Anas Sarwar (pictured, left) promises to establish an entrepreneur unit and to appoint a minister for entrepreneurship “to ensure entrepreneurship is promoted in the public, private and voluntary sectors”.
