Wales seeks to ‘at least’ match its pre-Brexit EU R&D funding

First minister says his government will prioritise ensuring Wales has “fair share” of R&D funding

The Welsh government has promised it will try to secure R&D funding “at least equivalent” to the amount the devolved nation received before Brexit.

“We will also work to address historic underfunding from both competitive and non-competitive UK investment sources,” said Wales’ first minister Mark Drakeford on 23 November.
