Derek Vaughan to ensure Wales’ voice “continues to be heard” on topics like Horizon Europe

The Welsh government has recruited former MEP Derek Vaughan to promote the devolved nation’s R&D agenda in Europe, as UK participation in the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme hangs in the balance.

Vaughan will be tasked with making sure Wales’ voice “continues to be heard” on a number of topics, including climate change, research, innovation, Horizon Europe and international learning exchange and European networks.
