UK and Switzerland to sign research cooperation deal

   

Countries to build closer links between researchers as both remain locked out of EU programmes

The UK and Switzerland are set to sign an agreement to strengthen cooperation between their research and innovation communities.

Both countries have seen their research collaboration with other countries in Europe severely hampered as they continue to be blocked from participating in the EU’s R&D funding programmes, notably its €95.5 billion scheme Horizon Europe.
