UK’s business department, which is in charge of R&D, set to move from Victoria Street
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy will relocate its headquarters from 1 Victoria Street in Westminster to government-owned buildings in the north end of Whitehall by the end of 2023.
Announcing the move on 11 May, Beis said the switch would “increase efficiency” and “reduce the overall cost” of the government’s Whitehall estate.
