Levelling-up department outlines its R&D interests

Focus areas include role of R&D spending and importance of geographical proximity to research projects

The UK government department in charge of the levelling-up agenda has set out further details on its areas of research interest.

This comes as the Institute for Government, a think tank, said that ministers should make their R&D levelling-up mission more ambitious and increase the share of public funding going to areas outside the south-east.
