UKRI appoints top civil servant as chief operating officer

Tim Bianek will help deliver and implement UKRI’s strategic vision, the funder says

UK Research and Innovation has appointed Tim Bianek as its new chief operating officer.

Bianek (pictured), who will take up the role on 8 February, has 16 years of public sector experience including as delivery director for the transformation programme at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and as chief strategy and transformation officer at the Valuation Office Agency.
