UKRI international director steps down

Tim Wheeler leaves after three years in the role, during torrid time for international programmes

The international director at UK Research and Innovation, Tim Wheeler, is stepping down from his role in November.

Wheeler first joined the funder in 2016 as director of research and innovation at the Natural Environment Research Council, taking over as international director in 2018. Previously he was deputy chief scientific officer at the former Department of International Development and a professor of crop science at the University of Reading.
