Beis reveals details of UKRI ‘efficacy and efficiency’ review

Terms of reference for review of research councils set out its goals, purpose and scope

An independent review of UK Research and Innovation will address its efficacy, efficiency, accountability and governance, according to the Department of for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

News of the review—which will be led by former university vice-chancellor David Grant—was first revealed by Research Professional News in October and comes amid concerns over the cost-effectiveness of UKRI.
