Senior MP says postgraduate researchers are being ‘overlooked’ as he criticises funder’s pandemic response
The chair of an influential group of MPs has called on the UK’s largest public funder of research to increase its support for PhD students during the pandemic, amid widespread anger from the postgraduate community.
Many postgraduates have had their research projects delayed by Covid-19 and are increasingly vocal about what they see as a lack of support from funders to enable them to complete their work and their PhDs.
