UKRI now says that ‘majority’ of its aid-funded projects face axe

UK’s national funding agency expects most such projects not to be funded after July

UK Research and Innovation has said most of its aid-funded research projects are unlikely to be funded beyond 31 July as a result of the government slashing its international aid budget.

The funder has written to UK universities, institutes and businesses with further details about the impacts of its £120 million budget shortfall, as revealed on 9 March by Research Professional News.
