Roger Eccleston appointed director of research council’s neutron and muon source in Oxfordshire

The Science and Technology Facilities Council has appointed a senior academic from Sheffield Hallam University to take charge of its ‘super-microscopes’ at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire.

Roger Eccleston, deputy vice-chancellor for academic affair at Sheffield Hallam, will take over as director of ISIS Neutron and Muon Source when Robert McGreevy retires in autumn 2021, the STFC announced on 3 May.
