Scholars launch ‘code of conduct’ on academic freedom

Group of UK academics calls on universities to back academic freedom in international relationships

A group of scholars has called on UK universities to protect academic freedom in their international links with institutions abroad.

The group, comprised of academics from several universities—including King’s College London, the University of Edinburgh and the University of Oxford—said the increasing internationalisation of UK higher education had “many positive impacts” for universities.
