Donation from chemical giant Ineos is for an institute to study antimicrobial resistance

Chemical giant Ineos has given £100 million to the University of Oxford to create a new institute to fight antimicrobial resistance.

The Ineos Oxford Institute for AMR Research will be based between two sites in Oxford, linking the university’s Department of Chemistry with the Department of Zoology in the new Life and Mind Building (pictured), which is currently under construction, the university said.
