Report details how immigration status affects migrant students when they apply for funding

Some students are being “wrongly denied” access to university funding because of their migration status, a campaign group has claimed.

Current UK rules stipulate that university applicants who have had ‘limited leave to remain’ immigration status for three years or more, and who have lived in the UK for at least half of their lives, are eligible for student finance on the same terms as other domestic students.
