Universities given guidance on tackling cyberattacks

   

Advice from Jisc covers issues such as data security and planning for recovery

Universities have been given extra guidance on how to protect themselves from cybersecurity threats amid a spike in the number of cyberattacks on education institutions.

The higher education IT firm Jisc has published a series of questions designed to help universities assess the strength of their cybersecurity, including whether there is a plan in place “to deal with the most likely cyber events or disasters” and the business impact of a loss of all digital infrastructure.
