Implementation of reforms delayed as universities voice concerns over updated plans for England

The government has delayed the implementation of its reforms to initial teacher training in England after universities expressed concerns about the plans.

On 1 December, ministers said that all ITT providers would need to comply with the new rules from the 2024-25 academic year, 12 months later than previously planned.
