Nations told they cannot join EU student exchange programme without full UK participation
The European Commission has ruled that the UK must associate to the Erasmus+ exchange programme “as a whole, or not at all”, putting an end to Scottish and Welsh ambitions to join.
In a letter dated 15 February, European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen said that the UK’s decision not to associate to Erasmus+ after Brexit effectively barred its individual nations from joining.
