Glasgow student body calls for cap on ‘spiralling’ recruitment

Students’ Representative Council says city cannot accommodate rocketing student numbers

Student representatives at the University of Glasgow have called for the introduction of a student number cap at the institution.

The Glasgow Students’ Representative Council cited university data showing that student numbers have increased by almost 40 per cent in five years, and said this growth is “not sustainable or acceptable”.
