Fewer employers asking for 2:1 degree or higher

   

Firms turn away from traditional entry requirements amid competitive labour market

Less than half of graduate employers are asking new recruits for a 2:1 degree or above, a survey has found.

Research by the Institute for Student Employers revealed that although a 2:1 degree is still the most common requirement among firms, 48 per cent asked for the qualification in 2022, down from 57 per cent in 2021.
