Research England gives £31.4m boost to QR funding

Uplift comes as government releases £432 million for “facilities and equipment” at English universities

Research England has told universities in England they will receive £31.4 million more in quality-related funding, which is on top of the £100m uplift announced last month to relieve pressures caused by delays in participation in EU R&D funding programmes.

The funder said its latest supplementary QR funding was triggered by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy giving it more money.
