Charlie Jeffery to work closely with university leaders to promote the partnership and its programmes

Charlie Jeffery, vice-chancellor and president of the University of York, has been appointed chairman of the board of directors of the N8 research partnership of Northern English universities.

Jeffery (pictured) replaces Chris Day, vice-chancellor and president of Newcastle University, who has held the role since 2019.
