Universities ‘fall short’ on international student experience

NUS vice-president claims mismatch between overseas students’ perceptions and reality

International students in the UK are not getting the quality of experience that they are promised before they arrive, the National Union of Students’ vice-president for higher education has said.

Speaking at the 25th anniversary debate of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education on 14 June, Hillary Gyebi-Ababio said there was a mismatch between international students’ expectations and the education they receive once they begin their courses.
