Deals on redundancies and casual contracts hailed, including “biggest decasualisation programme ever” in higher education
The Goldsmiths University branch of the University and College Union has come to an agreement with the institution’s management, bringing an end to a 10-month dispute over staff redundancies.
The UCU said on 2 August that the university had agreed to a review of how it uses fixed-term contracts and that staff who had already been made redundant would receive an enhanced severance package.
