University wants to “put the ‘applied’ into linguistics” to serve the city and the region

Aston University in Birmingham has officially launched an applied linguistics centre in its College of Business and Social Sciences.

The Aston Centre for Applied Linguistics, formerly known as the Centre for Language Research at Aston, houses an interdisciplinary, multilingual group of academic staff and research students working in the field of language and language education research.
