‘Better support needed’ for prospective international students

Nearly three-quarters of recent overseas applicants to UK universities wanted more information, Ucas survey finds

A survey of international students who applied to UK higher education institutions during the pandemic has found that the majority wanted more information.

Some 72 per cent of respondents to a survey by the admissions body Ucas said they wanted more details on what their year of study would look like and how Covid-19 would affect it, as well as information about accommodation, funding, employment opportunities and completing the student visa application.
