Former director for fair access also critical of minimum entry requirements in new paper
Policymakers and universities have failed to improve access for mature and part-time learners, the former head of fair access at the Office for Students has said.
In a working paper for the Centre for Global Higher Education, Chris Millward, who was director for fair access and participation at the Office for Students between 2017 and 2021, claimed that while progress has been made on improving access to university for school leavers, the same cannot be said for less typical students.
