OfS sets out plans to charge universities for investigations

Proposals to make universities pay for staff costs during investigations revealed in consultation

The Office for Students is seeking opinions on how much it should charge the institutions it investigates for suspected regulatory breaches.

In a consultation published on 9 March, the regulator for England said it would “seek to recover costs for investigations”, which it can do thanks to legislation that came into force in December 2022.
