Sally Mapstone will take over from Steve West on 1 August
Sally Mapstone, the principal and vice-chancellor of the University of St Andrews, is to be the next president of Universities UK.
Mapstone (pictured) was elected through a ballot of UUK’s 140 members. She will take up the role on 1 August and her presidency will run until 31 July 2025.
