UUK conference: president says institutions must demonstrate quality and calls for “rebalancing” of funding model

UK universities need to face questions “head-on” about whether they are delivering high-quality education, the president of Universities UK has said.

Sally Mapstone, principal of the University of St Andrews, told UUK’s annual conference in Manchester that any failure by institutions to demonstrate the value of their courses could have negative implications for the amount of funding the sector receives.
