Dyson fans

Readers will recall that former universities and science minister Jo Johnson—who encouraged entrepreneur James Dyson to take advantage of the reforms of the 2017 Higher Education and Research Act—is now a paid director of the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology. Johnson is not the only universities minister to have connections with Dyson.
