Where the Ukraine crisis leaves US-Russian research partnerships

As the western world moves to shun and isolate Russia over its abhorrent attack on Ukraine, the future of scientific collaboration between the United States and Russia has become deeply uncertain.

While the two countries may not be major bilateral collaborators compared with some of the US’s other international research relationships, disruption looms large for numerous huge international research initiatives.
