Draft plan foresees National AI Research Resource acting as a federated collection of infrastructure
A national task force on artificial intelligence research has offered the first glimpse of its vision to expand access to the resources needed to advance R&D in the field.
The National AI Research Resource Task Force published a 72-page interim report on 25 May, outlining how the United States government could expand access to the powerful computers and tools necessary to develop AI through shared resources. The report says this would help to ensure that the AI developers of the future reflect the diverse backgrounds of everyone who uses, and is affected by, the technology.
