Report shares strategies to curb faculty burnout

   

American Council on Education report makes recommendations including limiting out-of-hours communication

Strategies for leaders of higher education institutions to address faculty and staff burnout have been shared by the American Council on Education, as part of a wellbeing effort intended to reduce workforce attrition.

In a report published by Ace on 17 October, Margaret Sallee, an associate professor of higher education at the University of Buffalo, says that the burden of high pressure and exhaustion is overwhelming faculty and staff, leading to increased workforce turnover.
