US science advisers hail publisher response to monkeypox call


Major publishers and journals praised for making outbreak-related research openly available

White House science advisers have praised scholarly publishers for apparently heeding a global call to open up research papers and data on the monkeypox outbreak.

Large publishers including Elsevier and Springer Nature have opened up all of the monkeypox-related research they are hosting, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy highlighted in an update on 15 August.
