Gender imbalance in tech world needs ‘strenuous efforts’ to fix, Unesco warns

Women are still a minority in rapidly growing technological jobs that are “driving the fourth industrial revolution” according to the United Nations’s science agency.

Despite the skills shortage in many research-intensive fields—such as artificial intelligence—women continue to be underrepresented, the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization found.
