Global Young Academy fears researchers are disengaging from discussions with non-scientists

Researchers should go out of their way to engage with the general public and not view them as knowledge-deficient beings, a guidance document on restoring trust in science has suggested.

In a position paper, representatives from the Global Young Academy of junior and early career researchers warn of a “growing perception that trust—in science, in public institutions, in each other—has weakened”.
