A country on pause means big decisions for universities are delayed
As the late Queen lies in state in Holyrood Palace this morning, we have more details on the days of national mourning and how they will affect universities. The Queen’s funeral will be on 19 September, which has been declared a bank holiday. Higher education institutions will close for the day.
In the meantime, although a range of public events have been cancelled—from Premier League football to live performances—universities remain open to process the incoming cohort of students. Teaching may have already started on certain professional qualification courses.
