Australian academy wants research to be better embedded in the health system

Researchers need to do a better job of communicating the effects of their work in order to gain cooperation from health workers, a national health research conference has been told.

At the annual conference of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences in October, Vlado Perkovic, dean of medicine at the University of New South Wales, said that he would “like to see every clinician be a researcher”.
