Researchers to be embedded in France’s auditors’ court

Conference of University Presidents signs training agreement to improve expertise in administration

University researchers will join France’s Court of Auditors, following a deal signed with the country’s Conference of University Presidents (CPU).

According to the court, the goal of the initiative is to bring external expertise from a range of disciplines to its auditors, in order to improve its evaluation of public policies and how it deals with complaints. The agreement will allow the court, which oversees the accounts and activities of public institutions in France, to apply a “renewed rigour” to its work, said Pierre Moscovici, first president of the court.
