Frédéric Mion takes responsibility for confusion in handling of abuse allegations against political scientist

Frédéric Mion, the director of the prestigious Paris Institute of Political Studies, usually known as Sciences Po, has resigned in the wake of an investigation into the institution’s handling of allegations of sexual abuse made against political scientist Olivier Duhamel.

Mion announced his departure on Tuesday evening in a letter to colleagues and students, also published on the Sciences Po website. In it he said the school had gone through a “very painful period”, and that he would like to express his gratitude to staff and students for the work done at Sciences Po during his tenure.
